Tim Rose
Tim, who lives in Swanage, has worked through a range of different media to concentrate on etching , ceramics and pastels for the last twenty years.
Most of his pastel drawings at the gallery are inspired by the local landscape details of Purbeck.
The tonal qualities of Soft Ground and Aquatint techniques are well suited to creating images with texture and subtlety. Exploring different colour ways can create just the right atmosphere for the subject. Patterns created in the landscape, whether historical or contemporary, often feature in his work.
Tim was a founder member of Milton Keynes Printmakers group.
