Briony Maple
Briony is a Dorset based glass artist inspired by the beautiful local landscape and the material. Her work is full of fluidity and texture to capture and exploit the fluid and illuminating nature of glass.
She works from her home studio and enjoys experimenting with glass and creating commissions which often inspire new ranges of work for her.
She found her love for glass while studying Contemporary Crafts at Falmouth University where she specialised in glass casting. She now works with a range of techniques, mainly using fusing and slumping to create her current work.
Very popular are her coastal path maps - single panels of Purbeck, West Dorset and the New Forest, and triptych of South Dorset. She also creates local scenes on curved glass which can be used on a window ledge of in front of a tealight.
