Kimberley Day
Kimberley Day is a local artist who splits her time between her home on the Isle of Purbeck which inspires her paintings and London where she works as a freelance artist in the Film industry.
Her abstracted landscapes are a response to her local environment which she regularly walks, cycles and swims through. These emotional landscapes are distilled into simplified forms with a refined palette to try and capture the true drama and essence of living on that infinite boundary between land and sea. Working on watercolour papers with acrylics, charcoal and pastels she combines each medium to add variation to her mark making and colour quality.
Kim has a BA Hons Fine Arts painting degree and a Masters from the Royal College of Art.
