Originally from Swanage, Nicky is an artist and fabric designer who lives in Corfe Mullen near Poole. She also paints in gouache to produce colourful pictures using themes from nature and Purbeck. 
Obsessive detail found in nature is what really inspires her; the intricacies and patterns that occur everywhere in plants and animals make her want to start drawing!
She started her journey in fabric design after completing a Masters in Illustration which opened a whole new world of digital colour to go alongside her Fine Art  Degree. She wanted to turn her drawings into something different. Luckily she has a very clever nan who knows all things fabric. She taught her how to sew and she now makes, as well as designs, her own fabric creations.
